WhyDonate charges a 0% platform fee, funded by an optional donor tip. Because the tip is only collected on the first payment of a recurring series, recurring donations are charged like this:

- Every payment after that: no tip is collected, so a 3% platform commission applies.

For SEPA Direct Debit, the donor first makes one iDEAL or Bancontact payment to verify their bank account; after that, the recurring debits run automatically.
